Coin is one of the toughest Morgan Dollars especially in high grade. Purchase price buy it now is based on Grey Sheet ask 1/2 the difference between xf and AU since is graded XF-45 by the toughest of the eBay approved graders.

The Bland-Allison Act, of February 28, 1878, allowed the resumption of the silver dollar. The Morgan dollar, designed by George T Morgan weighs 412-1/2 grains and .900 fine conforms to the Act of January 18, 1837. The coin is composed of .900 silver and .100 copper. It was minted in Philadelphia, New Orleans, Carson City, Denver and San Francisco. The Morgan was minted through 1904 when it was suspended due to low demand and bullion supply had become exhausted. There were 270,232,722 silver dollars which were melted under provisions of the Pittman Act of 1918. In 1921 the Morgan silver dollar was resumed with some slight refinements. It was replaced by the Peace design, which was designed later that same year. The Peace dollar was designed by Anthony do Francisci.
